The audio, which has gone viral on social media platforms, is being attributed to former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore. According to Congress leader Ganesh Godiyal, who publicly referred to the clip, Rathore can be heard making grave claims related to the circumstances surrounding Ankita Bhandari’s death. Godiyal alleged that the content of the audio points to deeply disturbing motives behind the crime and suggests the involvement of influential political figures.
In the recording, Rathore allegedly claims that Ankita was killed after being pressured into establishing physical relations with Dushyant Kumar Gautam, whom he identified as the BJP’s in-charge for Uttarakhand. Godiyal said the alleged revelations expose what he described as a disturbing mindset among certain leaders toward women and daughters, calling the claims a matter of grave public concern.
The Congress leader further alleged that efforts were made to erase crucial evidence soon after the incident. He claimed that Ankita’s room was demolished using a bulldozer and that attempts were made to burn the bed, actions which, according to him, strongly indicate a deliberate conspiracy to destroy forensic and material evidence linked to the case.
Godiyal emphasized that these developments underscore the need for a thorough and impartial investigation. He said the seriousness of the allegations demands accountability at the highest levels and swift legal action against all those found responsible, regardless of political affiliation.
